Retrieve a Vehicle
Learn how to accept a vehicle request
A guest is ready to take their vehicle out of valet. Let's get them on the road.
How the Request Process Works
There are 2 ways a vehicle can go to Request status in the system.
Guest Request Workflow
All attempts should be made to have the vehicle requested through the guest device.
Our guest will open the webpage from the link they received when we checked them in to begin the request process.
In the browser, the guest will tap Request Vehicle
If there is a balance due, they will then be direct to the payment page. Guests can pay with credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. They can also apply a validation that was provided by the hotel by tapping Have a validation code? Click here to enter. For locations where we only bill overnight charges to the hotel room, this portion of the workflow will be skipped.
Once the balance has cleared, they will tap Request Vehicle which will send notice to all staff logged into the location.
The guest is now presented with their digital claim ticket. As the vehicle status is changed from Requested to Retrieved and Retrieved from Retreived to Out. Ensure you request to see the guest digital claim ticket prior to releasing the keys.
Valet Request Workflow
This action should only be completed if the guest has no way to request the vehicle from their device.
Once inside the session details, you will tap the Request button and confirm that you're Requesting this vehicle.
Retrieving the Vehicle
The request has come through the system. Let's grab that car for our guest.
When a vehicle request comes through, you should receive a push notification on your device and we also display an alert icon of a vehicle in the top left of the screen. Tap the alert icon to view the Request Queue.
Once the vehicle has been brought to the front drive, you will mark the vehicle as Retrieved to indicate that the vehicle is ready for the guest. When the guest approaches to take possession of their vehicle, make sure you confirm ownership with their Digital Claim Check and tap Out. If this is an overnight guest, the vehicle will stay in Out status so you can easily place the vehicle back to park status when they return. If the guest is only here as a daily parker, the vehicle will be removed from the system.
