The Key Scrub is a crucial audit process that must take place daily to ensure both inventory and revenue control. This guide will walk you through the steps to perform a key scrub, as well a some of the scenarios you may encounter.

Why do we perform key scrubs?

  • Key scrubs help us ensure our inventory is correct. Are all of the vehicles and keys accounted for? Are they vehicles in the correct status?

  • Key scrubs help us capture important information about the guest reservation such as name, room, and departure date. Without this information, we cannot bill charges to the guest room.

Let's get started

This guide assumes that you have the Parking Manager app installed, you are logged in, and you have selected your working location.

Start a new Key Scrub

  • From the location menu in the top right, select the Manage Audits menu item

  • Next, select Key Scrubs from the menu

  • Next, click the green + icon in the top right to start a new Key Scrub

  • Next, click Start Audit

Scan all keys on hand

As a first step, we need to scan all keys on the board. When you begin the audit, your camera will launch, allowing you to scan the barcodes on the key tags
